Apple to unveil new iPhones on September 10

Apple sent out invitations Thursday for a media event next month where the company is expected to unveil its latest iPhone models. The event is scheduled to take place September 10 and will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.

As usual, the invitation didn’t provide much insight into what Apple will actually discuss at the event. The artwork featured a modern version of the company’s first official logo with the apple divided into floating rainbow chunks. The tagline for the invitation: “By innovation only.”

Among other announcements, Apple is reportedly planning to launch three new iPhone’s, including two “Pro” models to replace the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The Pro models are said to feature a new and improved camera and video recording features.

Two of these phones are expected to feature Apple’s first triple-camera system on the rear of the device, and the successor to the XS could also have a slightly bigger 6.1-inch display. Another rumour suggests that these iPhone’s could support bidirectional wireless charging, allowing them to charge AirPods when used with their new wireless charging case.

Apple is also expected to give final details and pricing on its streaming TV service, Apple TV+.

Apple typically introduces a new Apple Watch at its September event as well, but little has been reported on what might be expected.
