Sony today unveiled Xperia 5 II, the company's second 5G enabled smartphone, offering a new internal heat dissipation system and a 120Hz refresh rate OLED and 240Hz sample rate touch input. The new Xperia 5 II (read as mark two) takes many of the features from Xperia 1 II.
Sony has released the list of smartphones that will be updated to Android 10, starting December 2019. Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 will be the first set of devices to receive the latest iteration of Android. Meanwhile, Xperia 10 and 10 Plus, will get the update in early 2020, alongside older devices like the Xperia XZ2, XZ2 Compact, XZ2 Premium, and XZ3.
The Sony Xperia 1 is now available in the UK. Sony’s latest vision for mobile technology, packing a host of highlight features such as the world’s first 4K OLED display in a smartphone with 21:9 CinemaWide display (6.5”), and the world’s first Eye AF in a smartphone with a triple lens camera and up to 10 fps burst shooting with AF/AE tracking for precision focus and exposure.
Sony has unveiled a trio of large screen phones, seemingly taking the fight to the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S10+ and the iPhone Xs Max.The Xperia 1 is the Japanese company's new flagship, with a 6.4in 4K OLED display in a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio, which offers support for HDR content.
