Huawei is more trusted by the UK public than Facebook, according to the results of a UK consumer survey conducted by Censuswide. The survey examined attitudes towards the big messaging platform providers (i.e. Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp), as well as wider consumer trust in the technology sector.
A new report highlights another shady Facebook policy that was paying people to install an app called the Facebook Research VPN. Facebook allegedly paid users to install the VPN, which allowed the company to collect all the user's phone and web activity at all times.
Twitter
Twitter has announced that it had identified “an issue” in Twitter for Android that impacted certain users if “certain account changes were made.” Specifically, the issue affected users who had turned on the setting in the app to protect their Tweets, after they made specific changes to their account settings.
“What happens on your iPhone stays on your iPhone,” Apple’s display advertisement, which is made to rhyme the famous wordplay “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”.
Facebook
Another day, and another facebook data probe! A report presented by the Privacy International at 35C3 hacking conference held in Germany claims that several android apps are sending tracking and personal information back to Facebook.  This includes popular apps such as Yelp, Kayak, and Shazam who are  transferring data to Facebook.
