Google has officially rolled out Android 11 and in addition to its own Pixel brand, the following companies will be the first to offer downloads of Android 11: OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo and RealMe. Samsung, Huawei and LG typically take a little longer to adapt new features to their own user interfaces.
Google just released the Android 11 Beta program to Pixel devices. This is the easiest way to try out Google’s newest version of Android in a much more stable scenario compared to the 4 different developer previews we have been testing.
Google is making seamless updates mandatory for all Android 11 phones. The setup involves use of separate read-only partitions to install updates, thus speeding up the process. During seamless updates, users can keep using their phones and then apply the update with a simple reboot.
Google has released the first update to the Developer Preview of Android 11. Android 11 developer preview 1.1 doesn’t introduce any new features, just a plethora of new patches and bug fixes.
