Google announces event for September 29

We previously reported that Google would be hosting a Nexus event on September 29 and Google has now issued invites for an event on that date.

The invite simply “says some tasty new treats and much s’more” that hints at new Nexus devices.

According to the latest rumors, the LG’s Nexus (2015) will be called the Nexus 5X and the Huawei-made Nexus will be called the Nexus 6P.

It is believed that the LG Nexus 5x will pack a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 13MP camera with Sony IMX278 sensor, USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The Huawei-made Nexus 6P is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Both the smartphones would run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box.

Google is also expected to officially launch Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and reveal roll out details for the Nexus devices.

The company are also expected to introduce a new Chromecast with a new design.

Google will be live streaming the event on their YouTube channel.
