Apple removes and bans Vaping Apps from App Store

Apple has removed all 181 vaping apps from its App store. While Apple never allowed the sale of vaping related equipment from apps, there were apps that helped users customise their vape pens, let users control the temperature and lighting on their vape pens, as well as delivering news and other vaping related stories.

O2 turns on 5G network

Security researchers have found a new malware campaign using WAV audio files to hide their malware. It’s said the attackers are using Steganography to embed the malicious code within the WAV audio files. Steganography is an ancient practice of hiding secret content and text messages inside non-suspicious messages.

Huawei smartphone sales continue to rise in 2019

Huawei has reported a double-digit gain in sales despite U.S. sanctions that threaten to disrupt its smartphone and network equipment businesses. During the first three quarters of this year, Huawei generated CNY610.8 billion in revenue, an increase of 24.4% year-on-year. The company's net profit margin in this period was 8.7%.

BT to launch 5G on Friday October 11

Huawei Sets Record 3.67Gbps 5G Network Speed in Zürich

Huawei has achieved a top speed of 3.67Gbps downlink with multiple 5G smartphones in one 5G cell in Zürich. The feat was achieved across multiple 5G smartphones connected to a single 5G cell on Swiss carrier Sunrise’s live commercial network, which is to say that the transfer speed isn’t theoretical or coming from a lab environment.
