Huawei Cloud launches in Peru

Last updated:

Huawei Cloud officially launches in Peru to accelerate its expansion agenda in Latin America.

Huawei has launched its cloud service in Peru, the fourth Latin America country to receive the service after Chile, Mexico and Brazil.

Huawei Cloud is designed to accelerate the country’s digital transformation with partners including Interbank and Scharff taking part in the launch event to underline the vital role of the international public cloud platform in helping to improve urban efficiency, boost industrial transformation and make Peruvian companies more competitive.

“Peru is one of the cradles of South American history and culture, in which the ancient Inca Empire has a glorious history,” said Bao Getang, CEO of Huawei Peru.

“Huawei has served the Peruvian market for 16 years and has accompanied Peru through digital transformation, which has allowed us to better understand the market and equips us with capabilities to meet the realistic and potential needs of local customers.

“We hope that, in the future, Cloud, AI, 5G, IoT and other innovative technologies from Huawei will help Peru to enhance the social, economic and talent development.”

Xiao Fei, president of Huawei Cloud Latin America, stated that the company provides the world with the all-scenario, full-stack AI capabilities, multi-architecture cloud services, an agile hybrid cloud, a partner ecosystem, amongst other things.

“We hope to approach more governments, industries, and companies in Latin America with Huawei Cloud, which presents high-speed, low-latency access from multiple data centres in Latin America,” added Fei.

“The Peru region of Huawei Cloud will facilitate the development of the country’s government, enterprises, and industries such as financing, mining, logistics and retail. We will build digital Peru together.”

Huawei also introduced its Huawei Cloud Partner Network (HCPN) at the event, pledging to work with Peruvian partners to create an open and collaborative ecosystem.

It said Huawei Cloud and its partners have so far opened 23 regions with a total of 45 availability zones to provide multinational companies with fast and reliable international public cloud services.
