Motorola launches new edge 20 series

Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Lite, and Motorola Edge 20 Pro launched

Motorola has launched three new edge 20 series 5G phones – the edge 20 pro, edge 20 and edge 20 lite, which will be available in August, in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Asia.

Motorola edge 20 pro

Motorola edge 20 pro delivers a new 108MP main camera and features ‘Ultra Pixel technology’, where every nine pixels is combined into one large ultra pixel, which improves light sensitivity by nine times and results in better low light performance.

There’s also an ultrawide-angle lens with built-in Macro Vision for extreme close-ups, as close as 3cm away. The third camera is motorola’s first periscope-style telephoto lens, which bends the light 90-degrees for superior clarity from five times the distance. A 50x Super Zoom and 8K resolution video finishes off what is undeniably a great camera setup.

The edge 20 pro comes with a 6.7″ Max Vision display with OLED technology and 10-bit colour, for a true-to-life on the display and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Powered by the Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform, the edge 20 comes with 256 GB of built-in storage and 12 GB of the latest generation memory so everything runs smoothly.

Users can go over 30 hours on 5G without having to recharge and there’s also TurboPower 30 for quick charging – nine hours of power in ten minutes of charging.

At just 6.99mm, the motorola edge 20 is one of the thinnest 5G smartphones on the market and features the same 108MP main sensor, ultra-wide and macro lens as edge 20 pro, plus a 30X Super Zoom telephoto lens.

The 5G phone features a 6.7” display and industry-leading 144Hz refresh rate, as well as Qualcomm processor and ultra-fast Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform, supporting Wi-Fi 6.

The edge 20 comes with up to 256 GB of built-in storage, up to 8 GB of the latest generation memory and 4000 mAh battery, which features TurboPower 30 charging which gives you eight hours of power in just ten minutes.

Motorola edge 20 lite

Finally, the Motorola edge 20 lite offers fast 5G speed with an advanced camera system with 108MP main sensor, ultra-wide and Macro Vision.

Benefiting from the same 6.7” OLED display as the edge 20 and edge 20 pro, the edge 20 lite comes with a power efficient MediaTek chipset with up to 8 GB of the latest generation memory.

The 5000 mAh battery is one of the largest of any 5G phone, offering two days of power on a single charge and TurboPower 30 gives a day’s worth of power in just 10 minutes of charging.

Pricing and availability

The edge 20 Pro will sell for €699, the edge 20 will retail for €499, while the edge 20 Lite will be sold for €349.99. All three phones will go on sale in August.

The Motorola edge 20 Pro will be available in Dark Blue, White, and Indigo Vegan Leather. The Motorola Edge 20 will be available in Frosted Onyx and Frosted Pearl and the Edge 20 Lite will be available in Electric Graphite and Lagoon Green.
