Ford reportedly to replace Microsoft with BlackBerry in future cars

Ford is reportedly to replace Microsoft with BlackBerry's QNX car platform in future upgrades of its in-car Sync system. Ford has had various problems with their MyFord and Sync systems over the last few years, bringing down their quality ratings and causing them to seek other options for their vehicle infotainment systems.

Ford could make the switch from Microsoft to BlackBerry and its QNX operating system this year or next.

Ford spokeswoman Susannah Wesley stated:
