BlackBerry Venice shows off it’s software features in new pictures

If you’re involved in the tech industry in any way, and haven’t been sleeping under a rock, then you will be aware that BlackBerry are releasing their very first smartphone which runs the Android Operating system.

More and more info information is becoming available about this device, still dubbed the BlackBerry Venice, and Android Authority have now got their hands on some nice photos which not only show the device, but show some of the software features.

As expected, the BlackBerry Venice will stick very closely to vanilla Android, with some added BlackBerry features thrown in.

According to Android Authority

“our anonymous tipster tells us there will be keyboard shortcuts available for creating quick tasks and a few others. As you can see from the third image below, there also looks to be some software shortcuts when swiping up from the home button. Aside from the normal Google Now shortcut, you’ll also be able to perform a quick local search and create a new message with ease.”

The menu looks very similar to Samsung’s current Android menu’s, with the options broken down by category. When it comes to specs, previous rumors match up meaning there’s a Snapdragon 808 processor in the device, 3GB of RAM as well as an 18MP camera with a 5.4-inch display.

Rumors still insist that this device will be launched in November, while BlackBerry continue to remain silent about whether the device even exists.
