MyScript Releases Smart Note Application Update for Android

MyScript has announced a new version of MyScript Smart Note for Android devices. The note-taking application has been updated with support for math recognition, allowing users to handwrite equations and automatically convert the input to the LaTeX format.

Other customer-requested enhancements include simpler gestures to give app users intuitive editing capabilities and control over their notes.

“With this update for Android, we listened to user requirements and implemented updates to improve the overall note-taking experience,” said Nathalie Delbecque, Senior Product Manager of Smart Note Taking at MyScript.

“Moreover, with the addition of math support for Android, we are taking an important step to align the capabilities of smart note taking across platforms and will continue to invest to bring the technology to all digital devices, regardless of operating system.”

Debuting in 2014, what sets MyScript Smart Note apart from other note-taking applications available today is that it turns handwritten words and math formulas into interactive text. With MyScript Smart Note, users can write, draw, annotate, and insert pictures into notes. Words and sentences can be quickly moved, split, joined, and erased by simple gestures.

Searching for a word or sentences across pages of notes or even notebooks is simple, allowing handwritten notes to be managed with the same ease as any digital document. Notes can be exported as text or PDF, and handwritten text can be copied and pasted into email, messaging or social media apps.

MyScript Smart Note is available for Android devices on Google Play and for iOS devices on the App Store.

Of interest to developers, MyScript Smart Note was developed leveraging the Application Toolkit available on the MyScript Developer Program website. For more information, visit /dev.myscript.com.
