While Three UK secured an exclusive deal to carry the new HTC Desire Eye, they do not have an exclusive deal with the HTC RE camera.
EE today announced that the RE, HTC’s exciting new Wi-Fi connected camera, will be available from EE from early November.
The RE by HTC will be available from £169.99 and is compatible with Android smartphones (Android 4.3 and above) and iPhones (iOS 7 or later). The RE is available in white and navy models, and also in orange exclusively with EE. Customers can connect the RE by HTC to a smartphone on 4GEE via device to device Wi-Fi to share images and videos on the move over the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network.
EE has unveiled EE TV, their upcoming TV service. EE TV puts mobile at the heart of the TV experience, and works seamlessly with home TVs, tablets and smartphones, allowing customers to access the best of live and recorded Freeview, On Demand and Catch up across multiple devices simultaneously.
The growing availability of sophisticated tablets and smartphones, and the introduction of 4G across the UK, has fundamentally changed the way consumers enjoy TV. Video content today makes up more than 50% of EE’s 4G mobile network activity.

EE is expanding its 4G network across the UK to reach another 18 large towns in all four corners of the UK – from Helensburgh in Scotland to Holywood in Northern Ireland, and Prestatyn in Wales to Abingdon in England. The latest stage of the roll out brings the number of large towns and cities covered to 281, and more than 75% of the population.
With 4G also being switched on in Sandhurst, Sergeant Major better keep his eyes peeled. Recruits at the Royal Military Academy (RMA) can now enjoy all the benefits of 4G, whether uploading selfies on the sly or ditching the Ordinance Survey in favour of seamless Google Maps.

On Friday we reported how Vodafone are to buy 140 of Phone 4U’s stores and EE have now confirmed that it is to buy 58 stores.
An EE spokesperson stated:
“We can confirm that we have agreed with the Phones 4U administrator to purchase 58 stores, safeguarding 359 jobs, subject to court approval.”
Phones 4U was forced into administration last week when it failed to reach deals with EE and Vodafone to continue selling their services.
PwC joint administrator and partner Rob Hunt said:
