Nokia Networks and China Mobile sign 970 million USD agreement

Witnessed by German and Chinese government leaders at Sino-German Economic Forum in Berlin; Nokia Networks further strengthens its TD-LTE footprint in Chinese wireless equipment market

Nokia Networks and China Mobile have announced a framework agreement for mobile communication equipment and services valued at 970 million USD (760 million euros). The agreement was signed at the Sino-German Economic Forum in Berlin by Li Huidi, Vice President of China Mobile, and Hans-Juergen Bill, Executive Vice President at Nokia and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nokia Networks GmbH & Co KG in Germany.

EE expands 4G network across the UK to another 18 large towns

EE is expanding its 4G network across the UK to reach another 18 large towns in all four corners of the UK – from Helensburgh in Scotland to Holywood in Northern Ireland, and Prestatyn in Wales to Abingdon in England. The latest stage of the roll out brings the number of large towns and cities covered to 281, and more than 75% of the population.

With 4G also being switched on in Sandhurst, Sergeant Major better keep his eyes peeled. Recruits at the Royal Military Academy (RMA) can now enjoy all the benefits of 4G, whether uploading selfies on the sly or ditching the Ordinance Survey in favour of seamless Google Maps.

EE launches 4G in 13 more places to reach 75 percent of the UK

With 13 new major towns switched on across the country, EE extends its lead as the biggest 4G network in the UK 4G from EE now covers 75% of the population, 263 major towns and cities and over 2,500 villages and small towns With EE the first to launch 4G in Witney, the Prime Minister comments on the ‘huge boost’ for residents and businesses in his constituency
