Updatein Places for BlackBerry 10 gets an update, brings Google Street View and more

Updatein Labs has released an update to their location based search application “Updatein Places” for BlackBerry 10, taking the latest version to v1.8.

Updatein Places is a location based free app that lets you find nearby places and businesses. It also provides a global search feature where you can search for places using terms that you would typically use in search engines.

BlackBerry Link for Windows and Mac gets an update

BlackBerry have released an update to both the Windows and Mac versions of BlackBerry Link.

BlackBerry Link allows you to access your BlackBerry 10′s device contents such as music, videos, documents using a USB or even without the need of any wires all through Wi-Fi. You can also back up and restore your devices contents.

At the time of writing, there is no Changelog and I haven’t noticed any new features yet. It looks like a bug fix release and anybody who uses Link will know it certainly has issues.

BlackBerry release an update to BBM for BlackBerry beta

BlackBerry have released an update to the BBM for BlackBerry beta. The update brings  sponsored ads as well as seeing the file attachment size go from 6MB to 16MB.

The update is not only for BlackBerry users but legacy users as well. The file attachment size increase is only for BlackBerry 10 though.

To update, BlackBerry 10 users can upgrade via the Beta Zone app while legacy users need to login to the Beta Zone via the BlackBerry browser.
